All season long, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been the talk of baseball. He’s young, exciting, fun to watch. And he’s been getting flack from old-school baseball purists for not playing by the sport’s unwritten rules—like swinging on a 3-0 count, flipping his bat in celebration, and generally lacking the stuffy, buttoned-up decorum of baseball past.
So, when the league announced its shortlist of 2020 MVPs, with Tatis Jr.’s name conspicuously absent from said list, we partnered with Adidas to rally around their player and the future of baseball.
